Brian Bersh is currently Undergraduate Research Scholar studying with Dr. Suzanne Burton.

Gregory Dalakian was the recipient of the 2007 Claudia and Richard Fischer Music Scholarship and the Outstanding Brother Award for the Xi Mu Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

Gracin Dorsey was accepted for graduate study in composition at the University of Oregon and the University of Florida with scholarships.

Christopher Gage was the 2007 Pi Kappa Lambda award for Highest Freshman GPA at
Honors Day.

Samantha Gans received a 2007 Outstanding Student Teacher in Music Education award.

Stephanie Kleinert and Dr. Suzanne Burton did a Research Poster Presentation of Undergraduate Research, Emergent Music Literacy, Problems and Possibilities, at Music Educators National Conference convention, March 2007. In addition, Stephanie Klienert did her Senior Thesis Defense Emergent Music Literacy: Problems and Possibilities. The defense was a partial fulfillment of an Honors Degree with Distinction in Music Education. Stephanie Kleinert also received a 2007 Outstanding Student Teacher in Music Education award.

Stephanie Lehman was accepted to Radford in Virginia and SUNY Binghamton as a Teaching assistant. Both have offered full tuition remission plus stipends.

Opera Workshop received a $2500 grant from the Kurt Weill Foundation in New York, NY for its spring 2007 production of Street Scene.

Emily Paolini was accepted with a Full Fellowship to University of Maryland School of Music Ethnomusicology Program. Emily Paolini and Dr. Suzanne Burton did a Research Poster Presentation of Undergraduate Research at Music Educators National Conference convention, March 2007 on Crossing Borders: The Attitudes of Elementary School Children and Music Teachers Toward Multicultural Music. In addition, Emily Paolini did her Senior Thesis Defense Crossing Borders: The Attitudes of Elementary School Students and Teachers Toward Multicultural Music. The defense was a partial fulfillment of an Honors Degree with Distinction in Music Education.

Valerie Schlanger is a current Service Learning Scholar working on the Project MUSIC program.

Ashley Snyder was awarded the 2007 Community Music School Achievement Award and is a current Service-Learning Scholar.

Kelly Strayer was the 2007 Pi Kappa Lambda Award for Highest GPA in Senior Class Music Majors.

Tyler Tejada was the recipient of the 2007 F. Warren James Memorial Award.

Ryan Tibbetts has been accepted into Doctoral programs at Indiana, Illinois, and the University of Southern California. These are three of the most prestigious conducting programs in the country. He will be going to Indiana where he's been offered a full fellowship.
